The School Day

The School Day:

The school gates are opened at 8.50am by members of the senior leadership team. Children walk independently through the school grounds into their classroom or can be taken by their adults to their drop off point.  The Senior leadership team monitor pupils as they enter the school gates. Gates close promptly at 9.00am.  Any families arriving after this time will need to take their child/children to the main reception foyer to sign in.

Messages for teachers:

Messages for teachers can be communicated through the home/school diary which is checked every morning or through admin1@grantonprimary.org.uk

The Executive Headteacher, Head of School, Assistant Headteacher, phase leaders, Pastoral care leader and SENCOs are available on the gate for a brief conversation first thing in the morning to answer any questions.

Collection:

  •     Children are collected from their classroom (EYFS, Y1 & Y5) or playgrounds (Y2, Y3, Y4 &Y6) at the end of the day.
  •     If a child is collected by another adult, we expect parents to inform the school in writing. This can be done through admin1@grantonprimary.org.uk
  •     We must have written permission from a parent if children in Y5&6 are allowed to walk home on their own.
