Year 6 Story Slam Semi-Final!

This year's Story Slam from the South Bank Centre has given Granton's budding writers the chance to prove they have the Literary X Factor!

Mrs Anning and Mrs Hariram have been working hard to help their story slammers prepare their 3 minute piece of 'flash writing'.  On Friday afternoon, every child in Year 6 had the opportunity to perform their piece of flash writing before the following four children were selected to take part in the Story Slam semi-final: Georgia, Ellie, Melanie and Abdullahi.  They all delivered moving and engaging performances of their World Wat Two inspired writing.  

Following much deliberation, we are pleased to announce that Abdullahi was the winner of the Year 6 Story Slam semi-final and he has been invited to read at the live final during this week's Imagine festival at the South Bank. He will be up against finalists from several other local primary schools and we look forward to supporting and encouraging him on Wednesday 12th February!
