Y5 perform at the Royal Albert Hall!

Year 5 were lucky enough to take the stage at world class venue, Royal Albert Hall on the evening of Wednesday 25th November 2015, on the final night of the 'Music for Youth Proms'.  Each night 1000 young musicians have taken part in a concert like no other: full-scale symphony orchestras are showcased side by side with some of the best jazz bands, chamber groups, rock bands and choirs from across the UK; and a new Massed Ensemble of over 500 musicians perform new work, specially commissioned for this not to be missed occasion.

The children formed part of the Oval Mass Choral Ensemble, consisting of a number of local schools from across South London, who all took to the stage to sing the specially commissioned '800 miles flies the albatross.'

Having the opportunity to perform at the Royal Albert Hall was an absolutely wonderful and unforgettable experience and Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the experience!
