The Granton Family in Mourning
Two pieces of news have deeply saddened the Granton Family this week.
On Tuesday morning Councillor Mark Bennett, the Mayor of Lambeth died suddenly at the age of 44. Mark has served Streatham South for many years. He was a big supporter of our school and can be seen on the video of our 85th Birthday celebrations. Mark also ran a council surgery for the local community on the first Saturday of each month here at Granton School. He will be missed by so many in our community.
Some of you will have read about the death of the british surgeon, Dr Abbas Khan in Syria at the age of 32. Abbas is an ex-pupil of Granton Primary School, along with his siblings. The whole of the Khan family were very supportive to our school during their time at Granton. At this very sad time, the Granton Family extends their love and support to the Khan family.
