RSPB Big Schools' Bird Watch

Granton's Green Team took part in our first event today.  We all wrapped up warmly, and armed with our binoculars and record sheets, ventured outside into the wilds of Granton's field.  We spent an hour peering through our binoculars and recording the birds in our grounds.  We were all delighted and amazed at the variety and amount of birds we saw including: blackbirds, robins, blue tits, great tits, pied wagtails, as well as the ever-present London pigeons and crows.

The children's enthusiasm was second only to the birds we saw.  We are sure this enthusiasm will be well used in improving our Nature Area and grounds.
