Imagine Festival Kids' Takeover Day
On the 24th February, children from Granton took part in the Imagine Festival on Kids' Takeover Day. We had a brilliant time. Click below to view pictures documenting the day.
Receiving our briefing from Hannah about what jobs we were going to do for the day.
We sold merchandise such as programmes and CDs and treats like ice cream and chocolate to the customers. We also welcomed people into the Queen Elizabeth Hall when they entered through the main doors.
Working alongside Southbank staff, we sold tickets for the events. We also had to tell people details about the shows they wanted to see.
One of our jobs was to collect coats and bags from customers to store in the cloakroom. From here we also made announcements about when the shows were about to start.
Some of us checked tickets as people entered the auditorium. There were 900 people coming in to the afternoon's show! We showed people where their seats were located too.
We were 'In Charge' for the day!
At the end of the day we evaluated our experience and thought about how our knowledge and skills had increased as a result of this amazing opportunity.
