          ATHLETICS TRAINING

   SESSIONS FOR YOUNGSTERS

 

Interested in athletics ? Like to get involved in an athletics club ?

Here are details of our training sessions :-

 

SUNDAY MORNINGS                                 10.30 AM – 12.30 PM 

AGE 9 UPWARDS, 

track & field and long distance covering all events, ask for Horace   

 

MONDAY EVENING AFTER SCHOOL        5.00 – 6.30 PM

AGE 7 – 10  introduction to track & field covering all events, ask for Simon

 

TUESDAY EVENINGS                                 6.45 – 8.30 PM

RECOMMENDED AGE 11 UPWARDS  

Track & field and long distance  ask for Steve

 

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS                           5.15 – 6.30 PM           

AGE  9-13    track & field, ideal for newcomers ask for Steve

 

THURSDAY EVENINGS                             

AGE   8-11    5.30 – 6.30 PM   ask for Ivor      

RECOMMENDED AGE  11 UPWARDS     6.45 – 8.30 PM

As per Tuesday evenings, ask for Steve

Long distance group from Sept – April train on Streatham common from 6.20pm, call Steve before going for first time for contacts and exact part of the common to meet

  

Newcomers welcome, catering for all events : sprints, middle & long distance, hurdles, jumps, throws & pole vault   !!      entry fee to the track £ 2.60 per session

 

Regular competitions :  track & field, indoor,  sportshall, cross country, road running  throughout the year

 

Middle distance / Long distance group : call Steve for details of training times and venues which may vary to above
