Green Team create ripples at Deen City Farm

Armed with binoculars and enthusiastic minds we set out to Deen City Farm to learn about how to create an ideal wildlife pond.  The intrepid Green Team survived many puddles and midges to reach Deen City Farm from Morden Hall, observing wildlife on our route.  Once there we were introduced to our Guide called Flo, who told us how to behave safely during our visit.  Soon she led us to their pond where we were taught about the biodiversity we could find, and how to encourage it in our own pond.  Then the highlight of the visit was the chance to go pond dipping.  Avoiding the frogs we followed Flo's instructions and leant how to pond dip.  We were delighted to discover some of the creatures Flo had taught us about and kept records of what we found.

Now we have this knowledge we are looking forward to developing the biodiversity in our own pond.
