Maths 'Money' Week

In order to help launch our Enterprise Term, Granton's Maths Week had a very special theme to it this year - MONEY! Children from Nursery all the way up to Year 6 enjoyed taking part in a wide range of money games, puzzles and activities as well as getting to grips with the financial concepts of spending, saving and budgeting!

Parents and carers were also invited into classrooms to join in some of these activities with their child.

Throughout the week children were also challenged to collect and bring in any spare pennies they had at home. These were then used in a day of problem solving on Friday.  We even saw a Y6 class create a Pudsey Bear of Pennies in honour of Children in Need!

All of the pennies collected are currently being counted and will go towards our Frosty Festival's charity, which this year is MIND. Watch this space to see the grand penny total when it is revealed!
