Please find below information regarding term 5 and 6 after school clubs at Granton Primary School.

Important Information

  • Our After School Club sign up will be on Saturday 28th March 2026.
  • All internal clubs will go live at 6:00pm
  • A number of clubs are being booked through external providers. Their booking links will be sent to you this Saturday 21st March 2026 at 6:00pm and can be booked from then. Please note that external clubs with their own booking systems have been highlighted in blue on the List of Clubs document so you know which can be booked early.
  • ASCs start week beginning Monday 20th April and finish the week ending Friday 3rd July 2026.
  • There will be no clubs running on Monday 4th May 2026 due to school being closed for a bank holiday on this date. There will also be no clubs on Thursday 7th May 2026 due to the school being closed as it is being used as a polling station. These have been taken into account for the prices of the club.
  • Any clubs which have to have a session cancelled will have replacement sessions in the week after clubs end where possible. If this is not possible, you will be issued a refund for any missed sessions. You will be informed of what will happen via ParentMail if and when club sessions are cancelled.
  • Most of our internal clubs are priced at £6.50 per session but our external providers prices range from £6.00 up to £13.00 per session. This is up to the provider’s discretion.
  • Clubs run between 15:30 and 16:30 unless otherwise specified.

Booking

You will be able to book your child into a club via the ParentMail app under Accounts and Products or if you are using a browser it is under Payments > Shop on Saturday 28th March 2026 at 6:00pm. External clubs are available to book via separate sign up links you will receive on Saturday 21st March 2026 at 6:00pm. You can go to https://www.grantonprimary.org.uk/After-School-Club-Information/ and have a look at the ASC timetable.

  • Spaces are allocated in a first come, first served basis. If you have missed availability for a club, you are able to sign up to the waiting list and you will be contacted if a space becomes available.

ParentMail

By paying online through ParentMail you will automatically be agreeing to the After School Club Late pick up fees, Behaviour and Responsibilities Contract, which can be found on the school website.

Please make sure you update all your contact, collection and medical details through the school office or via email: admin1@grantonprimary.org.uk.  For any further information please visit the school website: www.grantonprimary.org.uk

Snacks

Please provide your child/ren with a small snack in line with the school’s healthy eating policy. This should be eaten before the club starts. Please do not send any products that contain nuts as we have pupils with severe nut allergies. Your child will have a maximum of 10 minutes to eat snacks before clubs start so please ensure that the quantity is suitable for this time restraint.

After School Club

Late pick up fees, refunds, behaviour and responsibilities

In the unfortunate event that clubs must be cancelled, we will inform you via ParentMail, so please ensure the school office has up-to-date contact details for you. Any cancellations will be refunded via ParentMail or fulfilled at a later date. We will let you know which via ParentMail.

We want our children at Granton to thrive, learn new skills and have fun at our after-school clubs, therefore it is necessary for us to outline what is expected from all.

Dismissal

All parents/carers are to wait at the main gate on Granton Road near the school office for collection. This is to create a safe and controlled environment for the safety of all children on the premises. Clubs will be brought to the gate and released one at a time for safeguarding purposes and will come out on a first come, first served basis. No adults are allowed on site during any of the after-school clubs. However, on rainy days where the weather is not suitable for the children being dismissed outside, the clubs will be dismissed from the Reception and Year 1 classrooms. On those occasions, the parents would be allowed into the Year 1 playground to go the classrooms. When necessary, the clubs would be dismissed from the following classrooms:

Behaviour

Like during school time, we expect exemplary behaviour in our After School Clubs which adhere to the school’s behaviour policy.

If behaviour from the Children or Parents/Carers is unsatisfactory, the Child’s place in any club will be withdrawn, without refund. The ASC team run a three-strikes-then-out system and you will be informed if your child has received a strike by the member of staff running the club.

If you have any queries about any issues regarding the after-school clubs run at Granton please contact asc@grantonprimary.org.uk

Late Collection of Children from After School Clubs

It is an important term and condition of service that you collect your child(ren) on time after they have finished their after school club.

Late collection has an impact on both children and club and school staff.

Granton Primary School understands that parents/carers may occasionally find it impossible to collect their child(ren) on time, due to unforeseen circumstances, however this will result in additional late fees.

There is a late payment fee of £10.00 per child for the first 10 minutes. For collection more than 10 minutes late, you will be charged £5.00 every 5 minutes thereafter.

The late payment fee should be paid on collection of your child(ren) or before 2:00pm the following day. Failure to make payment will result in your child(ren) being unable to attend any other afterschool club until payment has been made in full.

Regular late collection

If you are late collecting your child(ren) more than 3 times within a term for one club, this will result in your child(ren) having their space withdrawn from this specific club without a refund.

Inclusion at ASCs

We do not want any child to miss enrichment opportunities, especially in the light of the current financial climate. Therefore, if your child is in receipt of FSM or your child meets the Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) criteria, is a Young Carer, a Looked After Child or Post LAC, please e-mail us on asc@grantonprimary.org.uk (Subject: After School Clubs) to see if we can accommodate a space for them. Please note that there would be a maximum of two club spaces allocated per term in this circumstance.

Kind regards,

The After School Clubs Team
